P-714 UNACCOMPANIED HOUSING CASE STUDY

NAVAL STATION GREAT LAKES IS HOME TO THE UNITED STATES NAVY’S ONLY BOOT CAMP.

WE ARE ASSISTING IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 166,000-SQUARE-FOOT BARRACKS CAPABLE OF HOUSING 616 ENLISTED MILITARY PERSONNEL IN 308 BUNK ROOMS.

In addition to bunk rooms, the facility will include laundry rooms on each floor, a dayroom/multi-purpose room, lounges, computerized classrooms, and a vending/kitchen area.

Jimmy Z Masonry awarded the masonry sub-contract leveraged Construction Robotic’s MULE smart lift-assist technology to regain bid dollars, through increased productivity (3 Masons to 1 MULE). This project had 12 MULEs to maximize productivity. Using 8832s and the MULE, a production increase of 93% was calculated for square feet installed. Additionally, a 75% increase was recognized for franklin stone, with the new Veneer attachment for MULE.

With the MULEs smart lift-assist technology 8832 block was leveraged effectively doubling the square footage of each installation, furthering the value of the MULE. For a total productivity gain of 93%.
